Membership

Do you have an American Revolutionary War Patriot in your family tree?  Are you interested in joining more than 185,000 active women, worldwide, who share a common bond in the ancestral history of the founding of the United States? 

 

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death, as well as the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor.   

 

To assist in your research, visit the NSDAR Genealogical Research System (GRS).  This free database lists ancestors on whom members of the National Society have joined. The database is continually updated as new membership applications and supplemental applications are approved.​
